Automotive:
New developments of high performance motors in narrowest possible places as well as the irresistible entry of new technologies in combination with high sensible electronic are responsible for a continuous increasing of the requirements. A very important need for rubber articles is a very high level of thermal resistance with keeping the elastic behaviours.
Typical properties,
- Very high thermal resistance up to 300°C
- Nearly constant physical properties over a large temperature range
- Excellent resistance against weathering, UV and Ozone
- Very good electrical-and sound isolation
Aviation:
Even in the aviation industry, silicone rubber type articles are often used for a long time. The specific requirements in this field are fulfilled with special types of rubber showing still elastic properties at a temperature of -100°C and are adjustable regarding to different flame resistance specifications. Where a better resistance against fuel and oil is needed, the using of fluoride-siliconerubber is common.
Siliconerubber has an exeptional position in this field, because of the particularity behaviour in the wide range of different rubbers like our silicon tubing.
Typical properties:
- Very high thermal resistance up to 300°C
- Nearly constant physical properties over a large temperature range
- Excellent resistance against weathering, UV and Ozone
- Very good electrical-and sound isolation
- Rubber properties down to -100°C
- No creation of toxic by-products in the case of fire
- Adjustable flame retardant properties (JAR 25853 / UL 94).
